Nildalukande BPS Ceylon Black Tea Loose Leaf comes from carefully harvested green leaf from misty mountains of central hills with unique micro climatic conditions of bright, sunny mornings to cold nights produces the finest teas of delicate full body with exquisite pungent taste. Located in the Kandy District, the Nildalukande Tea Factory sits at 1,500 feet above sea level and is surrounded by picturesque mountains in the central highlands of Sri Lanka. Nildalukande began producing orthodox teas in 1891 and was transitioned to CTC processing method in 2010. Shortly after this transition, Nildalukande became the very first CTC black tea processing center in the world to be awarded the prestigious certification (FSSC22000) for its tea manufacturing practices. Although uncommon in Sri Lanka, this modern processing method, combined with the premium leaves grown in this area, produces a unique and extremely bold and flavorful cup of tea sought after by tea lovers around the world.
